Celebrating Hitchcock II
Wed Jul 11, 7:00 PM
Cinephiles Film Club
This month, the Cinephiles film club brings together two of Hitchcock’s most films alongside works by two filmmakers who pay tribute to Hitchcock’s continuing influence on cinema. This week, we turn to a film that Hitchcock wished he had made! Claude Chabrol is a key French filmmaker. But before he made any film, he co-authored the first serious book on Hitchcock, simply titled Hitchcock: The First Forty-Four films. In Le Boucher, Chabrol follows the tense relationship between a teacher at a provincial school and a man who may be her stalker, or worse!
