Tharuni, an NGO based in Warangal has been striving relentlessly for the welfare of the girl children and women. The details of the two films that will be part of this showcase are as follows:
Film 1 titled "Girl Power" A film about 'girls collectives' formed by NGO Tharuni who play a crucial role in fighting against many social evils which they experience either in their life or around them
Film 2 titled "Crusader of Women and Child Rights" A film about a child rights activist,Dr.Mamatha Raghuveer who has advocated many programmes for improving the lives of adolescent girls and women of Telangana state in South India.She is currently the Technical Director of Bharosa Center of Women Safety Wing, Telangana Police.
