The US imperialist attack on Venezuela and abduction of its president Nicolas Madurao on 3rd January is a momentous event in world history. Not that this is the first such imperialist interference into a sovereign nation, but coming as it is at a time when US imperialism is clearly on its decline in the face of increasing rivalry with the Sino-Russian imperialist axis, it clearly is an ominous sign for the global politics in the days to come. This becomes especially dangerous because a reckless person like Donald Trump is at the helm of affairs in the US. Against this backdrop it is pertinent to ask what is the motive of US attack on Venezuela? What it means for the current world order? Where the imperialist system heading the humanity to?
