The great Hindi writer and traveller Rahul Sankrityayan made phenomenal contribution by promoting logical and scientific thinking by resisting against the irrational, communal and narrow-minded ideas that are prevalent in our society. He called upon the youth to not flee from their responsibility of building a just an egalitarian society. Through his travelogues he enlightened Indian minds about the history and culture of different civilisations. His life journey from Brahmanism to Arya samaj to Buddhism to Marxism was a journey of amazing transformations.
