'Indian judiciary is facing a huge credibility crisis. While earlier it succumbed to external pressures, this time its own internal contradictions are surfacing. It had ensured a high degree of authenticity and respect but this has now come into question.Earlier, While whispers on its credibility were invariably rejected as emanating from disgruntled sources. Unlike before, these allegations are now coming from leading lawyers, respectable members of the Fourth Estate and judges themselves. Judges at war with their own brethren is now out in the open and points to a new crises and deepening crises. Inheritors of the British stiff upper lip ‘their Lordships’ may now be called upon to adjust their approach.'
