Youth Democracy and Gujarat Model by Dev Desai

Youth democracy emphasizes the active involvement of young individuals in the democratic process, promoting their representation, innovation, and sustainability in governance. The Gujarat Model, known for its rapid industrialization, infrastructure development, and investor-friendly policies, offers valuable insights into fostering economic growth. By integrating youth democracy principles with the Gujarat Model, such as encouraging youth entrepreneurship, investing in skill development, and engaging young people in policy-making, India can create a more inclusive and dynamic democracy. This synergy has the potential to harness the energy and creativity of the youth, driving the nation's progress and ensuring a vibrant democratic future. Dev Desai will elaborate on this perspective in his upcoming talk.

About Dev Desai: Dev has worked with the Anhad organization on key issues such as gender, communalism, casteism, domestic violence, women's rights, and human rights. They have coordinated impactful campaigns like Youth Aman Karwa, Tana-Bana, 33% Reservation, and Me Too. In 2019, they joined Gujarat Sarvodaya Mandal, where they actively promoted the ideologies of Gandhi and Vinoba Bhave among Gujarat's youth.

All are Welcome!
