The 9th edition of BEFF Babul Eco Film Festival 2025 brings to you the best and latest of green films from all over the globe .
We have an interesting schedule lined up for you at Lamakaan.



1. A Summer with the Bee eaters - Wenbo Liu, Xinyu Wu | China / 2025 / Chinese / 30 Min

In Haikou, vibrant Bee-eaters (birds) arrive as summer migrants, embarking on courtship and parenthood.This 18-month documentary, filmed without drones to respect wildlife, highlights the delicate ecological relationships and the integration of newcomers with resident bird species.



2. Naked Worlds - Pavol Barabas | Slovakia / 2024 / Slovak / 27 Min

We are the last generation that had the opportunity to experience natural tribal communities hiding in inaccessible parts of our world. When they disappear from our planet, we will lose their ancient secrets of how to maintain the fragile harmony of nature on Earth.




3. Roar and Resilience - Viren Bhaika | India / 2025 / English,Marathi,Hindi / 30 Min
Roar and Resilience is a journey into human-tiger conflict in India, uncovering the fragile balance between conservation and survival. The film explores the complex realities faced by communities living on the fringes of protected areas and asks how conservation can become more equitable and sustainable.

4. Weaving narrative - Aleksandra Chargeishvili, Yana Khazanovich | Netherlands / 2024 / Russian / 24 Min
a road film, explores the Indigenous Mordvin people of rural Russia and their heritage of hemp textiles, neglected for 60 years. The 23-minute documentary connects past textile crafts with current ecological and cultural needs, advocating for a renewed human-nature relationship.

5. Illegal mining - Mohan Singh Aulakh | India / 2025 / Punjabi / 40 Min
Punjab is facing a major problem like floods and water crisis because illegal and unnatural mining of sand, gravel and stone is taking place in rivers, mountains and forests on a large scale in Punjab. Mohan Singh Aulakh is an Indian independent filmmaker known for his thought-provoking documentaries that shed light on social issues.
