The systemic crisis of capitalism has led to increasing interest in Marxism the world over. In India, on the one hand the capitalist system is in crisis leading to rise of fascism and on the other hand the communist movement also is passing through a crisis. The main reason behind the crisis of the movement is the ideological weakness. In order to reinvigorate the communist movement in India, what is required is to develop the thorough understanding of Marxism which is a science of revolution. It is with the purpose of developing the scientific understanding of Marxism that In Defense of Reason is planning to conduct regular sessions on the basics of Marxism. The first session will be held on Friday, 23rd February, at 6:30 pm at Lamakaan. All those who are passionate about building a classless and casteless society in India which is free from all kinds of exploitation and oppression are welcome to join this discussion.
