Jashn-e-Aazadi, an evening of Basant songs, patriotic poetry, and conversation celebrating India's shared cultural traditions.
The evening will feature the release of "Aaj Rachyo Hai Basant Nijam Ghar", a beautifully illustrated Hindi book by acclaimed filmmaker, author, and archivist Yousuf Saeed. Through history, literature, art, and Sufi folk traditions, the book reminds us that Basant has long been a celebration that transcends religion and community, a shared cultural heritage marking the arrival of spring, harvest, and renewal.
Adding to the celebrations, Dr Atiya Mujeeb Arefi and Dr Gul-e-Rana will present a special feature on patriotic Urdu poetry, while Dr Humera Sayeed will host the evening.
