Mithila painting (or Madhubani painting as it is now beginning to be called) is a style of Indian painting practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar and the adjoining parts of Terai in Nepal.
Madhubani literally means forests of honey. These paintings were done traditionally by the women on freshly plastered mud walls and floors of huts but now they are also done on cloth, handmade paper and canvas.
Drawing started as a punishment for me when I had to draw biology diagrams all by myself..but it helped me in realizing that drawing is what I am born to do. This could be your biology diagram! Hope to see you there!
