HUL has spent the last 12 years trying to understand multiple dimensions of a city, its people, infrastructure, history, economy and its challenges. This has resulted in new ways of studying and researching the urban. More importantly it has enriched HUL and its extended family through valuable relationships with not just this city but with people and places in the entire region and beyond. As HUL transitions into a new phase, Anant Maringanti talks of how the city has shaped HUL's work and will continue to do so.
