The Role of Women

Women have shaped Telangana’s arts, its movement for formation and the wider history of India. Yet their names rarely appear on our streets, in our public spaces or in our shared memory, and they tend to surface only when it is convenient to celebrate women. This session brings together women historians, artists, activists and community leaders to ask who we remember, who decides, and how we change it.

As an organisation that works primarily with women, it’s a theme we’ve been thinking about a lot lately and want to bring it to more of an open discussion.
